‘International Yoga Day’ gets the recognition globally on 11th December 2014 by the United Nations and accepted by various countries

Summary: Yoga is the five thousand years old heritage from India, it amalgamates the body, mind and soul. It bonds you to your present, past and future that goes beyond age, customs and connects the whole world. Yoga doesn’t belong to any religious conviction; it’s a technique of living life. It is generating synchronization between human and nature. Yoga is basically a voyage of the self, through the self and to the self.

International Yoga Day

International yoga day is adopted by more than 150 countries. Practicing yoga in everyday life resulting good health, glowing skin and stress free life. Nowadays, people usually have stressful life, desk jobs and monotonous schedules because of that whole family got affected. To resolve all the issues yoga appears for rescue, the method of relaxing body and mind can support every age group to navigate the challenges they face in life.

 

The idea of celebrating International yoga day is proposed by PM, Narendra Modi in UN address and suggested 21st June is the most suitable date to celebrate the day. As this is the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere and UN declared it globally as ‘International Yoga Day’, which is celebrated on 21st of June. It is magnificent that 21st June symbolize this momentous occasion in the history of humankind. The day got the huge support from numerous countries such as, USA, China, Canada, India and many others. It also had the maximum number of co-sponsors ever for United Nation General Assembly declaration of such Nature.

 

The significance of yoga for individuals creating improved health options and lifestyles that promote good health and fitness. In this context WHO has also recommends its state members to motivate the citizens for physical fitness, as physical inactivity causes the topmost reasons for deaths all over the world. The main risk factors physical inactivity are: cancer, diabetes and heart diseases. So, start practicing yoga in your daily life for few minutes and eliminate the illness from your life.
